Free Technology for Teachers: 40 Free and Open Course for Learning a New Language
I loved this post on my newsfeed. With all of the increased demands on students to gain language learning before graduation, the increased availability of online options that are FREE is huge. I think this is something that students (and adults!) will benefit from greatly.
Isn't it so true that we used to limit our students to only a few options when it came to foreign languages? I myself remember taking 4 years of Spanish in high school with only the options of Spanish or French (mainly because those are the most wide spoken languages). We are now beginning to get exchange students from all aspects of the language world so why not offer those courses to our own students. Seems like it would be a no brainer and to now see that students can have more opportunities than we had is wonderful.
