Creative Commons
After reading the EDUCAUSE article, 7 Things You Should Know about Creative Commons, I had a wide range of thoughts. I felt that the article did a good job summarizing the main ideas of creative commons in a short passage. However, I still feel that there are so many small details of Creative Commons that I find confusing. I always am nervous using sources I find online for grad school work, as well as projects for my classroom. I am afraid that although it is listed as able to be used, I am going to use it somehow I am not supposed to. I find myself more comfortable using these Creative Commons licensed items as I work with them more often, however I do still find some of the descriptions of use confusing. I hope that I continue to get more comfortable and familiar with these "rules" as I go through this course.

Courtney, I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets a little apprehensive about using Creative Commons images. I feel a bit intimidated when I read that I might get a zero on an assignment if I don't follow all the copyright credits rules (as confusing as they are). I want to get comfortable too and I guess the best way is to keep plugging away at using them regularly.
ReplyDeleteI also feel the same way about this! I second guess myself and check and recheck over and over when using the copyright credits rules. Hopefully after time I will relax a bit about it.
